I like this song. I haven’t been into all the pop stuff K’naan has been putting out. I’m interested to see what he does for his next record, would love to see him go back to his roots, this feels like an attempt. #toronto

Studiofeed_ Short Documentary
Spoken Honestly: Ian Kamau from StudioFeed on Vimeo. A few months ago I was asked by an independent music blog called Studiofeed to do a short doc piece. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while so of course I accepted, it was an opportunity to speak about my art in some […]

M.I.A_ Bad Girls (The Making Of)
For some reason the documentary of the making of Bad Girls by M.I.A. makes me like the song better (is that wrong?) The video is obviously crazy, but seeing the process makes makes me understand some things I didn’t understand before.

The Roots_ Legendary
The Roots are some of the hardest working musicians in hip hop and certainly one of the best live hip hop shows you will ever see in your life. Legendary.
Juan Carlos Noria_ Two Artists in Juan
Quentin Vercetty has the bad habit of calling me ‘Unkle Kamau’ he spells ‘Uncle’ with a ‘K’ for some reason. I hate it. He also has the habit of posting videos that he thinks I will like on my wall, I enjoy that. Mr. Vercetty posted this on my wall earlier today and it made […]
