I spent an hour watching videos and short films of the Tigist+Selam blog yesterday when I should have been working on my album artwork. South Africa is coming up for me over and over and over again these days (maybe it’s time to go back). One of the most interesting posts was this one about graduating students in an area of Cape Town called Cape Flats. The video speaks for itself, when you have ten minutes take the time to watch it, it is about the importance of education in a place were access to education is difficult and the pride on achieving a certain level of education turns everyday students in to superstars, if only for a day.
